The "West Neck Pod" is a group of open-water swimmers who swim regularly out of West Neck Beach in Cold Spring Harbor, Long Island, beginning in late May-June and ending when icicles form, usually in late October-November (except for the West Neck "Polar Pod," which, thanks to the redent mild winter, can now brag that it swims year-round!).
